Fujifilm’s FinePix Z5fd has won a prestigious 2007 TIPA Award (Technical Image Press Association) for the Best Ultra Compact Digital Camera.

Fujifilm Senior Category Manager – Consumer & Professional Products, Matt Dole, said the TIPA Awards are recognised as the European ‘Oscars’ of the Photo and Imaging Industry with judges adjudicating on such criteria as quality, performance and value.

TIPA described the FinePix Z5fd as ‘…a compact, technological marvel that combines elegant design with a host of practical features.’

It added that ‘…all the Z5fd’s features are dedicated to producing the best possible result for the enthusiast, and to cap it all, this fast, responsive and easy-to-use ultra-compact is on sale at a very attractive price.’

Mr Dole said the TIPA Award is a tribute to the outstanding features and performance of the FinePix Z5fd.

“There is fierce competition to win these prestigious Awards with TIPA Editors voting by secret ballot to determine the best photo and imaging products in Europe,” he said.

Since 1991, TIPA members have met annually for a three day meeting to discuss projects, share opinions, comment on industry trends and innovations and vote for the award-winning products.

Mr Dole said the FinePix Z5fd – available in raspberry red, mocha brown and silver - is chic and compact in its all metal design.

“It comes equipped with an extensive range of attributes that enable the capture of beautiful photographs and also makes it the perfect accessory for the style conscious.

“Features include hardware-based Face Detection technology, a selectable mode that enables the capture of up to 10 faces in a frame and optimises focus and exposure to take the best possible people photos.

“It also includes a blog mode whereby the camera copies and automatically reduces the size of copied images for fast and easy posting to a blog, web page or email attachment,” Mr Dole said.

The Fujifilm FinePix Z5fd is available in-store with a recommended retail price of $399.00, including GST.
